How to care for your FLOWERBX bouquet
Unwrapping
Notice some slightly green petals on the outer layer of your rose? These are their guard petals, and need to be removed before arranging. Simply peel them away to reveal the fresh ones behind.
Positioning
Keep your stems tall for maximum impact, and create a dome-like shape for the perfect 360 degree arrangement. Remove any foliage that will sit below the waterline by snipping away leaves and thorns with your Floral Scissors.
Maintenance
Maximum water absorption is key! Be sure to cut each stem at a 45 degree angle to help your roses blossom for as long as possible and add the FLOWERBX Flower Food.
Top tips for roses
Your FLOWERBX delivery comes directly from the grower and is sourced to order, meaning they are the freshest flowers available. Below are the top tips for creating a beautiful display:
How do you prolong the life of your roses?
Changing the water regularly is a must. Another top tip is to always cut your stems at a 45 degree angle, as this increases the stem’s surface area, allowing your rose to absorb more water. And always remember to remove foliage below the water line to make sure your rose head is getting all the hydration it needs.
Where is the best place to keep my roses?
Your roses will truly thrive when placed in a cool area of your home. Avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or in rooms that get on the warmer side to ensure that they stay looking their best for longer.
How short should I cut my roses?
As a rule of thumb, the length of your rose stems should be no more than one and a half to two times the height of your vase. This will keep your arrangement looking full and elegant, yet not too top heavy.
