The Calathea, or Prayer Plant, is a popular plant due to the stunning leaf pattern and movement. Native to the rainforests of South America, this plant thrives in dappled sunlight.
The leaves of this plant have a beautiful mix of green tones on top and aubergine underneath. It exhibits nyctinasty, a phenomenon where the leaves open and close in response to light changes.
For longevity, we recommend maintaining a temperature range of 18-24°C and a humid environment. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. We suggest using a small watering can and testing the soil once a week.
Trim yellow or damaged leaves and regular pruning helps maintain the plant's shape.
