Indoor plants help bring personality, break up spaces and introduce new textures and tones.

At Soto we want to make looking after your plants as easy and enjoyable as possible. The Calathea Orbifolia plant profile will help you get to know your new plant.

The Calathea, or Prayer Plant, is a popular plant due to the stunning leaf pattern and movement. Native to the rainforests of Bolivia, the Calathea orbifolia thrives in dappled sunlight.

Soto love the leaves with a distinctive pattern of silver-green-white stripes that radiate outward from the central vein, creating a bold and striking appearance.

Like many Calathea species, Calathea orbifolia exhibits nyctinasty, a phenomenon where the leaves open and close in response to light changes.,

Try to maintain a temperature range of 18-24°C and high humidity. This plant is perfect for bathrooms! Otherwise mist.

It is best to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. We suggest using a small watering can. In the spring and summer feed the plant with a liquid feed. We suggest trimming yellow or damaged leaves and regular pruning helps maintain the plant's shape.
