Key information

Prunus Accolade is one of the loveliest flowering cherries, celebrated for the generous clusters of soft pink blossom that hang from its branches in early spring. Deep pink buds open to delicate, gently ruffled flowers, much loved by early bees, creating a display that feels both romantic and refined. As summer ends, the leaves turn warm shades of orange and red, and its glossy, rich brown bark adds quiet interest through winter. With its open, spreading canopy, it makes a beautiful focal point in a lawn, a front garden or at the end of a view.

Top Tip

Only prune your cherry tree in summer, when it is in full growth. Pruning in autumn or winter leaves it open to disease, and a light tidy in July or August is all it needs to keep its graceful shape.
