Melcourt Pine Mini Chips Finishing Bark is perfect for mulching borders and potted plants whilst adding a great polished finish to your outdoor space.
We suggest applying a 3cm layer of bark to the top of your soil to help conserve moisture and deter weeds and pests. Overtime, the bark breaks down to an organic compost, helping to feed the plants. Mulching plants helps to provide an insulating layer which substantially reduces the effects of ground freezing and over-heating during extreme weather conditions.
Made from natural, sustainably produced mature British pine, the Melcourt mini chips are endorsed by the RHS and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council®.
Delivery & Returns
SOTO GARDENS EDITS AND COLLECTIONS: Orders placed using the spring 2025 pre-order discount will be delivered in the spring. A member of the Soto team will be in touch to organise delivery. Soto deliver nationwide for all plants, pots and accessories via our courier partner, DPD within 3-7 working days. Delivery is free for all orders over £75. For orders under £75, we charge £6. If you would like your order delivered after this period, please let us know when you’d like to take receipt in the delivery notes. Soto Guests, including BIG GREEN EGG, GARDEN TRADING and FLOWERBX are delivered in accordance with their T&C’s. Please see our delivery and returns page for more information. Top Tip
Add mulch to your borders once or twice a year. Add bark in the spring, after the soil has warmed up but is still moist from winter rains. Add again in the autumn to protect roots from frost and add nutrients.
